Travelling to College

At Accrington and Rossendale College, we are deeply committed to making your educational journey as accessible and seamless as possible. Our strategic location in Accrington means we are exceptionally well served by public transport, enabling every student to find a travel option that suits their needs and circumstances.

Driving & Parking at College

We recognise the independence driving can afford. Students who already drive, or those who pass their test during their studies, have access to secure car parking facilities on campus. For our blue badge holders, dedicated disabled parking spaces underline our commitment to inclusivity.

Cycling

Cycling not only supports personal wellbeing but also champions environmental responsibility. To encourage this, we provide a secure cycle storage and a cycling loan scheme. Should you wish to explore this option, our Student Services team are eager to assist.

Accessible Bus Travel

We are proud to support students through cost-effective travel solutions. All enrolled students can benefit from reduced cost, termly bus passes, valid during weekends and holidays. Furthermore, students with an annual household income below £37,500 may be eligible for free bus travel, reflecting our dedication to fairness and opportunity.

Termly bus passes from Transdev cover Lancashire, Blackburn, Burnley, Clitheroe, and Colne, offering extensive coverage. The Transdev Go app makes planning your journeys both simple and reliable. Lancashire and Blackburn passes are available at competitive rates, ensuring travel remains affordable.

Additional services, not covered by the Transdev pass, such as those provided by Pilkington Bus Company, further enhance connectivity to the campus.

Train Links

Accrington Train Station, just a 15-minute walk from campus, provides a further convenient travel link for students from a wider area, reinforcing the College’s place at the heart of our community.
