OPEN TO ALL YEAR 10 AND YEAR 11 STUDENTS

Are you interested in developing practical skills and exploring a career in painting and decorating? Our six-week Painting and Decorating Academy gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our college workshops, working on real projects alongside industry-experienced tutors. You will learn how to prepare surfaces and apply professional finishing techniques, while building the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed to take your first steps towards a career in the trade.

You will develop practical painting and decorating skills, including surface preparation, painting techniques and professional finishing. Through hands-on activities and real projects, you will learn how to work safely and effectively, use tools and materials correctly, and achieve a high-quality finish. You will also develop your confidence and gain an insight into the day-to-day work of a professional painter and decorator, helping you prepare for further study or a career in the industry.
