Course Overview

Take your electrical skills further and tackle the technical side of the trade. Building on your Level 2 knowledge, you’ll move into electrical science, installation design, inspection and testing, diagnosing and rectifying faults. It’s a step up in responsibility and problem-solving, preparing you to become a qualified electrician. To start Level 3, you must complete Level 2 and have previous experience in the industry.

Develop advanced electrical skills and take the next step towards a career as a qualified electrician.
• Install complex electrical systems and circuits
• Carry out inspection, testing and fault-finding
• Apply electrical regulations and industry standards
• Read technical drawings and specifications
• Understand electrical science, protection and earthing
• Plan and complete electrical installation work professionally
You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in our workshops while developing the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills employers expect. Complete the course and progress towards an advanced apprenticeship, further industry qualifications or employment.
