Course Overview

Are you interested in sport and curious about what it takes to improve performance? Our Sport Academy gives you the opportunity to explore both the theory and practical side of sport across six engaging after-school sessions. You can choose the sessions that interest you most or complete all six to gain a broader understanding of sport and exercise. From coaching and fitness training to nutrition, sports psychology and injury treatment, the academy offers an exciting introduction to the knowledge and skills used across the sports industry.

Course Overview

You will explore a range of topics that influence sporting performance, including coaching skills, sports psychology, nutrition, injury treatment and fitness training. You will also learn about the anatomy of performance and how the body works during exercise and sport. Through practical and interactive activities, you will develop your understanding of how different factors can affect performance and gain an insight into potential careers and further study within sport, fitness and health.
